Jana Rae creates original acrylic paintings that explore quiet beauty, timeless interiors, and the moments of stillness that often shape our lives most profoundly.

From her private Michigan studio, Jana intentionally creates only a limited number of original paintings each year. Each work is developed slowly and deliberately, allowing every brushstroke to contribute to the atmosphere, emotion, and quiet narrative within the painting.

Painted entirely by hand, her work is distinguished by restrained palettes, thoughtful composition, and layered acrylic techniques that create depth, atmosphere, and subtle texture unique to each original. Rather than explaining themselves, her paintings invite contemplation, allowing each collector to discover a personal connection with the work over time.

Born in Michigan and raised in Florida, Jana's earliest artistic influence came from her father, a cartoonist, published poet, and author. Watching him create instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship and the quiet legacy an artist leaves through their work.

Although her path led through many chapters—including raising a family, building a successful career in banking, and becoming the author of numerous published books—her desire to create remained constant. Painting eventually became the place where those experiences quietly came together, allowing her to tell stories without words and preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

Today, Jana is the creator of Quiet Elegance, an ongoing body of work celebrating timeless beauty, thoughtful living, and the emotional connection between original art and the homes in which it is collected. Each collection is intentionally limited, and every painting exists as a single original. Once acquired, no reproductions or additional originals are ever created.

Artistic Philosophy

I believe original art should become part of the life lived around it.

A painting should never simply occupy a wall. It should quietly witness changing seasons, conversations shared over coffee, peaceful mornings, celebrations, and the ordinary moments that slowly become a family's most treasured memories.

Long after furniture has changed and rooms have evolved, a painting often remains. It becomes woven into the history of a home, quietly carrying the memories of the people who have lived beside it.

That belief continues to guide every painting I create.

Authenticity

Every original painting is created entirely by hand in my Michigan studio and exists as a one-of-one original.

Each original artwork is individually signed and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting its place within its collection.

Quiet Elegance is released as a series of intentionally limited collections, each thoughtfully curated and permanently limited in size. Once a collection is complete, no additional original paintings will ever be added.

While select works may also be available as high-quality digital downloads, the original paintings remain unique, one-of-one works of art created for collectors who value authenticity, craftsmanship, and timeless design.
